Iran، Oman discuss their exclusive role in Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN، Apr. 05 (MNA) – Deputy foreign ministers of IranOman have held a virtual meeting with the emphasis on the two countries' exclusive role in the Strait of Hormuz، in the face of destabilizing acts by the United Statesthe Israeli regim.

The meeting was held via videoconferencingwas chaired by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for LegalInternational Affairs Kazem Gharibabadihis Omani counterpart، Sheikh Khalifah al-Harethi ، with the participation of technicallegal experts from both countries on Sunday.
The two sides revieweddiscussed the current situation in the region amid the US-Israeli warissues related to the safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz، emphasizing IranOman's exclusive roles as the coastal countries of the strategic waterway.
Experts from both countries presented a set of viewsproposals، which were agreed to be further examined through discussionsmore meetings.
Following the launch of illegalunprovoked USIsraeli military aggression on February 28، Iran took control of the Strait of Hormuz، emphasizing that the key waterway is closed for aggressorsany country assisting them.
